Dr hab. Andrzej Ramlau
Rector of the Warsaw Film School. In 1963, he graduated from the Cinematography Department of the Łódź Film School. In 1987, he received the Award of the Chairman of the Radio and Television Committee for his achievements as a cinematographer of television feature films. He is the author of cinematography for over sixty films, winner of the Polish Filmmakers Association and the Association of Cinematographers awards for lifetime achievement; in 2013, he was awarded the Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage. Professor at the Department of Television, Film and Photography Production, Faculty of Radio and Television, University of Silesia in Katowice. Selected filmography: „Tato” (1995), „Zakochani” (2000), „Rozdroże cafe” (2005).
PhD Maciej Ślesicki
Director, screenwriter and two-time Academy Award® nominee film producer. The founder and Chancellor of the Warsaw Film School. His films include: "Trzy minuty. 21:37" ("Three minutes. 21:37"), "Tato" ("Daddy"), "Sara" and "Show". He also created the TV series "13 Posterunek" ("Station 13"). He graduated from the Department of Radio and Television at the Silesian University. He was awarded with Golden Duck Award for the year 1995 and won a prize for directing at the Polish Films Festival in Gdynia for his film "Tato" ("Daddy"). In 1997 he received distributors acclaim for the box office success of his film "Sara". He also produced the multiply awarded film "Rezerwat" ("Reservation"). He is the initiator of many actions supporting film debuts, and the chief of Paisa Films film studio. He has been the producer for countless student films, including "Nasza Klątwa" ("Our Curse") and "Sukienka" ("The Dress") critically acclaimed shorts nominated for the Academy Awards.
Bogusław Linda
Actor, director, script writer. Graduated from the Ludwik Solski State Theatre School in Cracow. He is the co-founder and lecturer at the Warsaw Film School. He played in such films as Gorączka (Fever)and Kobieta samotna (A Lonely Woman) by Agnieszka Holland; Człowiek z żelaza (Man of Iron) by Andrzej Wajda; Krzysztof Kieslowski’s Przypadek (Blind Chance); Matka królów (Mother of Kings) by Janusz Zaorski; Zabij mnie, glino (Kill me, Cop) by Jacek Bromski; Kroll and Psy (Pigs) by Władysław Pasikowski; Jańcio Wodnik by Jan Jakub Kolski; Tato (Daddy) and Sara by Maciej Ślesicki; Pan Tadeusz by Andrzej Wajda. He directed several feature films, such as Seszele (Seychelles), Sezon na leszcza (Season for Suckers) and Jasne błękitne okna (Bright Blue Windows). In 2005 he appeared on a record Las Putas Melancólicas by a band Swietliki. In 2009 he was awarded with the Silver Medal for Merit to Culture – Gloria Artis.
Natasza Parzymies
She is the Warsaw Film School's graduate. She became famous for the series „Control” about the stormy relationship of two girls, which she created, wrote and directed while not yet in college. The first season was watched over 60 million times around the world, and Natasza received, among others, nomination for O!Lśnienia of Onet 2021 in the „Series” category. The new seasons of „Control” were produced by Player (TVN), where all 4 seasons of the series are now available. Thanks to the worldwide popularity, „Control” became the first Polish production to join the Discovery+ platform library, and in 2022 Natasza was the first Polish woman to be included in the prestigious „Power of young Hollywood 2022” list of the American magazine Variety. Natasza is also the creator, director and co-writer of the mini-series „Random" (produced by Storytel), which is the first Polish series combining a radio drama and a film, starring Julia Wieniawa and Maciej Musiałowski. The project received two golden EFFIE statuettes.
Dr Mikołaj Jaroszewicz
He graduated from the Cinematography Department of the PWSTViT in Łódź in 1991. In the first period of his work in film, he was a camera operator on many Polish feature films such as "Young Wolves" or "Qua Vadis", simultaneously working as a screenwriter in serials and his own projects. As a freelance cinematographer, he started with puppet films, one of which "Peter and the Wolf" was nominated for the British BAFTA, in 2006, won the Cristal Du Court Metrages in Anessa and in 2007 the Oscar - the American Film Academy Award. After this success, Mikołaj Jaroszewicz started working in Great Britain, participating in many fictional projects as a cinematographer as well as a director and screenwriter. In 2012. he directed a full-length film based on Tony Hawks' novel Playing the Moldovans at Tennis which was an international production filmed in England, Ireland, Moldova and Israel. In 2013, the option for his script for a full-length feature film "Winter" was bought by the American Oscar producer Michael Phillips, known from the films "Sting", "Taxi Driver" and "Close Encounters of the Third Kind".
ANDRZEJ WOLF
He graduated from the Cinematography Department of the Łódź Film School. He has collaborated with many renowned directors, including: Jan Kidawa-Błoński, Janusz Zaorski and Andrzej Wajda. He is a lecturer at the Warsaw Film School. In 2003, he was honored with the Special Award of the Polish Independent Cinema for all his activities for young cinema in Poland. Member of the OFF Film Academy.
FILIP PASTERNAK
He started his career as a computer scientist, but soon changed his interests to cinematography. He got into the Warsaw Film School - where he is a lecturer now. He was a cinematographer for such productions as the international hit "Control” (the TV mini series with over 60 million views) and short feature film "Random". He has been the DOP of many music videos, many shorts and commercials. He likes vivid and intense colors. As a DOP he focuses on a large creation of the film world. He is interested in presenting emotions in an original way, maintaining their subtlety and truth.
MATEUSZ PASTEWKA
Director of photography. His job at lighting department at first episode of Game of Thrones became his inspiration to start a professional career at cinematography. When in 2014 he graduated from Warsaw Film School he was already nominated and awarded for several of his short drama and short documentary films. He worked frequent as a second unit DP and CO at feature drama and TV series. While working on film he puts a lot of attention in preproduction process which helps him to make the most from even tight budget and achieve previously created vision.
ROBERT KRAWCZYK
Director specializing in ad projects, creator of image campaigns for TVN channel. Editor of several hundred trailers, commercials and music videos. Awarded many times in industry competitions, including: Promax/BDA, Mixx Awards, Golden Arrow. Member and jury member of Promax/BDA.
TADEUSZ ŁYSIAK
Member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, graduate of Cultural Studies at the University of Warsaw and Directing at the Warsaw Film School. Creator of two award-winning short films in Poland and abroad: "Techno" (starring Leszek Abrahamowicz, Danuta Stenka, Michalina Olszańska) and Oscar-nominated "The Dress" (Anna Dzieduszycka, Dorota Pomykała, Szymon Piotr Warszawski). Participant of the prestigious program FUTURE FRAMES – Generation NEXT of European Cinema within Eastern Promises at the Karlovy Vary Festival. Winner of the "Discovering Eye" award for young talented filmmaker at the Polish Film Festival in Chicago.
NATALIA GRZEGORZEK
Natalia Grzegorzek - Film Producer. The founder of the production house Koskino, where she has been producing feature films, documentaries, and series since 2011. She is the producer of films such as "Kamper" (2016), "A Coach’s Daughter" (2018), and "My Wonderful Life" (2021) directed by Łukasz Grzegorzek, "Winter Flies" directed by Olmo Omerzu (international co-production), the series "Control" (seasons 2-4) directed by Natasza Parzymies, and the documentary "Tell Me More" directed by Martyna Peszko. Currently, she is working on the production of two documentary films - "Strach z głowy" directed by Grzegorz Brzozowski and "Flowers of Ukraine" directed by Adelina Borets. She is a member of the Polish Film Academy, EAVE, and ACE Producers Network. She serves as the president of the Polish Guild of Producers.
TOMASZ ŚLIWIŃSKI
Director and screenwriter. His short documentary film "Our Curse" (2013) has garnered numerous awards at film festivals worldwide, received a nomination for the International Documentary Association (IDA) Award, and was nominated for an Oscar in 2015. A graduate of film directing at the Warsaw Film School, he completed the Feature Program at the Wajda School. A recipient of the Scholarship Program of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage "Young Poland" (2015) and the Warsaw City Scholarship (2019). A member of the Guild of Polish Documentary Directors. Vice President of the Polish CCHS Foundation "Lift the Curse," honored with the EURORDIS Black Pearl Award in 2020. Curator of the musical project "Ondinata. Songs for Ondine."
GREG CIACH
Former CEO in PolyAmorous (with a published multi-platform game Paradise Lost), Director of Business Development in the game development division of Platige Image and General Manager of Amber Studios Poland-based office. Currently CEO in Second Chamber, a stock-traded company focused on development of AA games in Wanderer Adventure Game genre.
Jacek J. Januszyk
A graduate of the Film School in Łódź. Cinematographer, screenwriter, director and producer. He made his cinematography debut for the feature film "Double Portrait" (nomination for the Golden Lions of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia and an award in the "New Forms of Expression" category). He collaborated with prominent and recognized creators of Polish cinema, incl. A. Wajda, J.J. Kolski, J. Bogajewicz, W. Smarzowski, M. Ślesicki, L. Wosiewicz, J. Zaorski, K. Lupa, J. Dylewska, P. Edelman, K. Ptak, A. Sikora, M. Pawłowski, K. Visconti. His film and television achievements include projects combining a high artistic and commercial level, such as "In the desert and in the forest", dir. G. Hood (Oscar winner). He is also the cinematographer for many documentary films, incl. "Touching an Angel" honored with the Gold Remi award at the Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival. The cinematography for this film was awarded the Grand Prix at the International Film Festival in Rijeka. In turn, the film "The Runner", winner of the bronze medal at The New York Festival, brought the cinematographer a special award at the festival in Zielona Góra. He was nominated for the Deutscher Kamerapreis for his cinematography in the controversial film "Forbidden Love". He is currently working as a director and co-producer on his original film "Three Falls of a Saint" - screening at the Cannes festival as part of the "Works in progress" section and at the international festival New Horizons. His next projects are "Art Above Life" and "Etude for violin and cello". At the development stage, he implements his own fictional projects - "The Healer" and "Three Days with the Murderer".
Jarek Kupść
Jarek Kupsc received his film writing and directing diploma from San Francisco State University. He created five feature-length narrative films, many of which have received multiple awards at international film festivals. He wrote a film textbook, "The History of Cinema For Beginners," published in the US, India, and the Czech Republic. In addition to screenwriting and directing, Jarek is also an editor and cinematographer. For many years, he worked as a storyboard artist in New York and Los Angeles. Parallel to his film work, Jarek is a professional painter, graphic artist, and photographer.
KAMILA DULSKA-MAKSARA
Lawyer, supporting the promotion of knowledge and building legal awareness among game developers at industry conferences and training. Co-founder and vice-president of the Gamedev Lawyers Association. Lecturer at the Warsaw Film School on copyright in games. Providing legal and business advisory services to various entities in the gamedev industry for novice developers, indies, small and medium development studios, and publishers. Specializes in copyright and commercial law, with particular emphasis on corporate governance and investor relations.
Magdalena Łazarkiewicz
Polish female helmer, famous for shooting socially engaged features. In 1982 she graduated from the Faculty of Radio and Television University of Silesia in Katowice. During her film studies she worked as assistant to Andrzej Wajda and her film debut came from under her professor Krzysztof Kieślowski’s patronage and since then has been drawn to various social topics. Since 2011 artistic director of IFF “Jewish Motives” in Warsaw.
Marek Brodzki
Director and creative producer of multiple productions, e.g. feature film and the series "The Witcher", series "Miasteczko" (TVN) and "Szpilki na Giewoncie" (Polsat). 2nd director collaborating with Steven Spielberg, Andrzej Wajda, Roman Polański and Volker Schloendorff. He also worked with the German TV ZDF as the director of ZDF documentaries. The film "Drama Dresden" with his participation as 2 AD received an International Emmy Award in 2005.
MARIA ZUBA
A graduate of the Faculty of Painting and Sculpture, Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, she also studied at the Edinburgh College of Art. Holder of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage Scholarship for Visual Arts. Maria Zuba is the editor of two full-length feature films, A Coach’s Daughter (2017, dir. Łukasz Grzegorzek) and rewarded on Polish Film Festival in Gdynia – My Wonderful Life (2021, dir. Łukasz Grzegorzek). She also works with commercials, music videos and documentary forms. She is the edior of HBO documentary series - "Naked. Loud. Proud" (2023, dir. Delfina Dellert and Agnieszka Mazanek).
Michał Dominowski
He graduated from the ETI Faculty of the Gdańsk University of Technology, specializing in Sound Engineering. After graduation, he began his adventure with sound post-production for all possible audiovisual forms, which continues to this day. He collaborated with Polish and foreign creators on an endless number of film and television projects (including "Ono", "33 sceny z życia", "Zemsta", "Duże zwierzę", "Show", "Dzieci z dworca Leningradzkiego"). In the meantime, he developed his skills as a concert producer. For nearly 10 years, he traveled around the country and the surrounding area, supervising the sound and stage comfort of many artists (including Lao Che, Kapela ze wsi Warszawa, Masala Soundsystem, Village Kollektiv).
Piotr Gorszczyński
Editor, cameraman, graduate and currently lecturer at Warsaw Film School. He worked on the movie "Manhunt" (polish title: “Obława”) directed by Marcin Krzyolucowicz, the tv series "Firemen" (polish title: "Strażacy") and "Szpilki na Giewoncie". He conducts classes for high school students as part of the National Film Archive (Filmoteka Szkolna), during which young filmmakers have opportunity to learn the basics of film language and test their skills in practice.
Filip Hillesland
Director and screenwriter. Studied in Warsaw Film School and the SWPS University in Warsaw. He is the creator of short films such as „Tropical Island” and „Toast” which were critically acclaimed on several international film festivals including Palm Springs Short Fest. Participant of the 1st Polish-American Forum for Young Filmmakers in Los Angeles. Member of Jury in „Short Film” category at the screenwriting festival Script Fiesta in the years 2017-2019.
Artur Zaborski
Creative director of Script Fiesta, the biggest screenwriters' film festival in Europe, and a cultural journalist. He writes for Polish, American, Canadian and Swedish media covering the most important film festivals all around the globe and conducting interviews with the most prominent people from cinema world. In 2022 he received a Sundance Institute scholarship for journalists dealing with minority issues. In 2023 he was awarded the best film critic by Polish Film Institute.
