“The Dress” at the Kino Elektronik – a screening with a fundraiser for Ukraine
On March 9th at 7:30 PM we invite you to a special screening of the Oscar®-nominated film "The Dress" at the Elektronik cinema!
We are constantly looking for new ways to help people forced to flee from the war in Ukraine. That’s why we decided to include in addition to our fundraiser the best thing we have here – our films! A special screening of "The Dress" directed by our student, Tadeusz Łysiak, is the only opportunity to watch this award-winning production on the big screen!
Admission to watch the film is FREE, but during the screening we will collect donations to help refugees from Ukraine.
We hope that you will not remain indifferent to the fate of our Neighbours and that you'll generously donate the donation cans. Their content will go to the Fundacja Ocalenie, which will help refugees to organise a new, safe life in Poland.
Ми з вами, Україна!

THE DRESS
Julia lives in the Polish countryside. Her music is death metal. Her favorite pastime: playing on slot machines. She works at a wayside motel for drivers. She’s lonely, she never had a man, never experienced physicality. Julia is short stature and her entire life is dictated by her height – the local community can’t seem to accept her different appearance. Everything changes, when she crosses paths with a handsome truck driver. Their eyes meet. Julia’s heart beats faster. The man soon becomes the object of her loving, almost erotic obsession...
