Warsaw Film School Rector's Birthday
On October 1, the celebrations of the 90th birthday of Professor Janusz Majewski, the rector of the Warsaw Film School, an outstanding director, writer and screenwriter, were held in the building of our School; one of the most eminent creators of Polish cinema, whose works for years have been a source of inspiration for generations of filmmakers.
For such an important personage could not miss the throne, of course! There was also a cake, and one with a surprise! The event was honored by the performances of the Nadarzyn Orchestra and the Big Band, which presented a unique compilation of jazz and film hits. A renowned jazz and soul vocalist Monika Borzym sang, and the solo from "Czarny Mercedes" was played by an acclaimed saxophonist and clarinetist, Henryk Miśkiewicz.
Magnificence, we once again extend our warmest wishes for health and prosperity! Thank you for everything and we look forward to many more beautiful years of collaboration, friendship and mentorship!
