Our film got into the European Film Award qualifying festival!
The film "The Dreams of Lonely People" directed by Marek Leszczewski, with cinematography by Max Bugajak, has made it to the official selection of the International Short Film Festival of Cyprus – the European Film Award qualifying festival. The event will take place from October 9-15.
The International Short Film Festival of Cyprus is an international festival, established in 2000, showcasing and celebrating outstanding fiction, animation, documentary and experimental original short film content. As of 2019, ISFFC is an official partner festival of the European Film Academy. In addition to the main competition program, ISFFC organizes a series of site-specific events in collaboration with local artists, various thematic shows and master classes to integrate several art forms.
This is one of many qualifications for "The Dreams of a Lonely People" that the film has received in recent times. It is worth mentioning the nomination to one of the biggest and most important independent film festivals – Raindance in the UK, as well as Fimucité – a prestigious film music festival held on Tenerife, for the soundtrack composed by Tomasz Mreńca.

The title was also recently screened at two other foreign festivals – Mladá kamera Uničov in the Czech Republic and Kraljevski Filmski Festival in Serbia.
The film stars Adam Szyszkowski, Anna Paliga, and Piotr Bąk, and was directed by Max Bugajak. Yakiv Komarynsky is responsible for the editing. The production was supervised by Robert Wichrowski, Andrzej Wolf and Katarzyna Taras.

After twenty years in prison, the man returns to his homeland to wait for death in peace. His world is completely changed when he accidentally meets the character of the magical world of nature.

Marek Leszczewski he studied theatre and art history at the University of Łódź. He is a graduate of directing at the Warsaw Film School. His student short film 'Nuclear Shadows' has screened at over 60 international film festivals and received numerous awards. Besides, he has made many short films and music videos. He has experience working as a second director on feature films and TV series. He has visited nearly 30 countries. He has lived in Germany and Georgia.
