Lots of qualification for the film "The Dreams of Lonely People"!
The film "The Dreams of Lonely People" directed by our graduate, Marek Leszczewski, got into the official selection of several foreign festival.
Shortly after winning four awards at the Bucharest ShortCut CineFest in Romania, the production of the Warsaw Film School was qualified for the next festival in Romania – Short to the Point, which offers professionals and amateurs the opportunity to watch their short films in cinemas around the world.

The film remains in southern Europe, where the Castrovillari Film Festival, dedicated primarily to young cinema, started yesterday (August 26) in Italy. The organizers, guided by the new slogan SEE THE FUTURE want to present 20 authors of the future: directors who are able to make films that reflect their inner self and their personal view of the world.

The Dreams of Lonely People" was also selected from 3013 submissions from 108 countries into the selection of 12 student shorts that will be screened in North Macedonia and compete for an award at the Tetovo International Film Festival ODA. The event starts on 28 August and will last until 3 September
The production will then travel to neighboring Greece for the Thess International Short Film Festival (TiSFF) in Thessaloniki, taking place October 17-19.

It is also worth mentioning that the film was recently selected for the international festival of film schools – Escuela de Cine del Uruguay.
We are convinced that this is just the beginning of a long road of film festivals and competitions for our film. "The Dreams of Single People" is a title worth remembering.

Marek Leszczewski he studied theatre and art history at the University of Łódź. He is a graduate of directing at the Warsaw Film School. His student short film 'Nuclear Shadows' has screened at over 60 international film festivals and received numerous awards. Besides, he has made many short films and music videos. He has experience working as a second director on feature films and TV series. He has visited nearly 30 countries. He has lived in Germany and Georgia.
