Once again, the creator associated with our facility will decide which of the Polish productions will compete for the nomination for the most important award in the industry. Last year, our graduate and lecturer, Tadeusz Łysiak, sat on the Committee. Let us remind you that Jerzy Skolimowski's film „EO” selected with his participation received such a nomination.
Together with Maciej Ślesicki, the Committee will include:
- Ewa Puszczyńska (Chairman) – producer of i.a. the films „Ida”, „Cold War” and „Quo Vadis, Aida?”;
- Radosław Śmigulski – Director of the Polish Film Institute;
- Aneta Hickinbotham – producer of „Corpus Christi”;
- Ewa Piaskowska – producer and screenwriter of „EO”;
- Allan Starski – film set designer, Oscar winner for the set design for Steven Spielberg's „Schindler's List”.
This year's Polish candidate for the Oscars will be announced on September 25. We have no doubt that so many excellent experts will guarantee the best verdict!
