Four qualifications for the 48th Gdynia Film Festival!
We did it! The Gdynia Film Festival has just announced the list of qualifications for its 48th edition! As many as four productions of the Warsaw Film School got into the official selection! The most important Polish film event will take place on September 18-23.
The Gdynia FilmFestival is one of the oldest film events in Europe, promoting Polish cinematography on such a large scale. It has existed since 1974. Until 1986, the event was organized in Gdańsk, then Gdynia became its seat, and the festival center – the Danuta Baduszkowa Musical Theatre.
The programme of the Festival consists of three competition sections – the Main Competition, the Short Films Competition and the Microbudget Films Competition – as well as numerous non-competitive sections and accompanying events.
This year as many as 25 titles qualified for the Short Film Competition. Four of them were produced by our School:
- „Eden” | dir. Marta Szymanek
- „Metallic Taste” | dir. Ivan Krupenikov
- „My Old Gals” | dir. Natasza Parzymies
- „These Damn Peonies” | dir. Polina Biliaieva
