Thanks to our student's intimate documentary, we will be present at yet another film festival in Atlanta. This time our production will be watched by the audience of the 18th Atlanta DocuFest, the annual festival of documentaries. The festival is part of the Atlanta Film Series, which aims to draw attention to every genre of cinema. This year's edition of the documentary event will take place on March 3-5. Our film will be shown in the „Shorts #2: I Will Follow You Into The Dark” block on March 3 at 21.00 (GMT-5) at the RoleCall Theater.

Soon after, „Silence” will be shown in Izmir at the 6th International Women Filmmakers Festival, which will take place on March 7-12. The IWFF is linked to the celebration of International Women's Day on March 8. The mission of the event is to increase the visibility of the work of directors and other female employees of the film industry.
An intimate documentary about an elderly couple from Warsaw's Praga district has already had many screenings abroad. The story of Zygmunt and Halina reached all the way even to countries like Indonesia and Bangladesh! However, it was in Prague, Czechia, that it received its first award at the Prague International Film Awards – the Grand Prix: Best Short Documentary.

The film's black-and-white cinematography was executed by Filip Ziarko. The editor of „Silence”, Mariusz Gos, is known, among others, from his editing work on the Oscar-nominated „The Dress”. Aleksandra Krucińska was responsible for production management and Katarzyna Kowalczyk for sound. PhD Barbara Pawłowska was the artistic supervisor of this project.
Congratulations to the film crew! The festival journey of „Silence” looks really impressive. Good luck on its next stages!
Below you will find logline and a list of the film crew of the production.
SILENCE
Zygmunt and Halina live in a tiny council flat in Warsaw's Praga district. The surrounding poverty, diseases and their old age only emphasize the extraordinary "beauty" of their relationship and the fact that despite constant arguments, they are unable to live without each other.
