Warsaw Film School in solidarity with Ukraine
Today marks a year since Russia's violent attack on Ukraine, which brought many victims and continues to cause new ones.
In the face of this tragedy, we knew from the beginning that we couldn't sit back. We wanted to help Ukraine in as many ways as possible.
- During the first days of the war we published reports of our graduate, Adelina Borets from Kyiv. Adelina's recordings helped in the fight against Kremlin disinformation and showed how people have lived in the attacked city.
- We quickly announced a charity for the incoming refugees. The generosity of donors exceeded our wildest expectations. For four weeks, the Warsaw Film School, Elektronik cinema and the High School of Film and Video Game Creation turned into a great charity organization helping our Neighbours.

- From the beginning of the war, many of our students and graduates traveled towards the border with Ukraine, where they helped Ukrainian soldiers and from where they took more Ukrainian families that needed to be relocated into safety in Poland.

- We joined a charity for a day care center for Ukrainian children in Przemyśl, organized by our graduates.
- Thanks to the Sailors Without Borders Foundation, our donations reached Kyiv!

- We organized two charity screenings of „The Dress”, which was fighting for an Oscar at that time. The proceeds were transferred to the accounts of aid foundations working for Ukraine.
- We also held a charity screening entitled „Móvi Ukraina”, during which we presented films by our Ukrainian graduates.

- Twice, at our invitation, the National Bandurists of Ukraine performed at the Elektronik cinema with charity concerts.
- During last year's edition of the Script Fiesta festival, together with Fundacja Ocalenie, we also organized a fundraiser for our Neighbours.
Many organizations, Students, Graduates, Employees and Friends of the Warsaw Film School joined our actions. We would like to thank you once again with all our hearts for your help.
But let's not forget that this war continues. Ukrainians still need our help, so we encourage you to continue supporting Ukraine.
Again, we stand in solidarity with our Ukrainian Friends. We want to remind our Students and Graduates from Ukraine that the Warsaw Film School is and will always be a friendly place for you. Remember that you have the full support of our Community during this difficult time.
Ми з вами, Україна!
