A fantasy film by our graduate awarded at the international film festivals
Our students and graduates are getting bolder into genre cinema and have a lot of success in this field. Another example of this is the fantasy film "The Lord of the Woods" by Julia Bui, a Postgraduate Directing alumn, which has won a total of 14 awards so far.

The director's sister, Mai Bui, is Director of Photography of this fairy-tale story. On the website of their creative collective – Bui Film – the sisters wrote why they dared to make their film: 'Because we are crazy! It wasn't supposed to work... But it did! [...] We created all the costumes and props ourselves from recycling, often at night to make it on time for the next shooting day. We tried to reflect Old Slavic-Nordic design as faithfully as possible'.
It is worth adding that even that unique language of protagonists, based on Slavic and Nordic languages, was created just for this production!

THE LORD OF THE WOODS
"The Lord of the Woods" – Warrior Kriss becomes entangled in the story of tragic love between Mojmira-Valdemena and Derwan. The heroes, constantly moved between dimensions, thanks to the magical power of Ouroboros, try to break out of the vicious circle and fix the tragedy; each in its own way.
