The Polish Film Institute's Awards were presented for the fourteenth time. Their goal is to appreciate the special achievements supporting the development of Polish cinematography, promoting it, and facilitating public access to Polish cinema.
On behalf of the Warsaw Film School, the statuette was received by our Deputy Rector for Student Affairs, PhD Barbara Pawłowska. It was presented by the director of the Polish Film Institute, Radosław Śmigulski.
'The Warsaw Film School is a thousand students and pupils, a whole bunch of wonderful teachers, thanks to whom we spread film culture' she said from the stage. 'I know that the Chancellor and founder of the School, Maciej Ślesicki, is happy now. Our best Rector in the world, His Magnificence, Professor Janusz Majewski is also proud of it'.

She also expressed her thanks to the Award Committee, in particular to the director of the Polish Film Institute, for his support during the intense Oscar campaign of our film „The Dress” (dir. Tadeusz Łysiak).
'We promise that we will get that Oscar now!" – declared PhD Pawłowska.
In her speech, she recalled our historic victory last year.
'Gdynia is an extremely happy place for us' she emphasized.
For the reminder – the films of the Warsaw Film School have won as many as six out of seven awards (including the Grand Prix) of the Short Film Competition at the 46th Gdynia Film Festival.
'Keep going, Gdynia!' our Representative ended her speech enthusiastically.
