A Polish candidate for an Oscar® has been selected
The Oscar Committee, that also included our graduate and lecturer, Tadeusz Łysiak, decided that it will be „EO” – a film directed by Jerzy Skolimowski. The decision was made unanimously.
'It was a great honor for me to be a member of the comission selecting the Polish Oscar candidate' Tadeusz wrote on his Instagram after the press conference at the Polish Film Institute. 'I have a feeling that this beautiful film not only has a chance to be nominated for an Oscar, but also has a chance to win it' added the director of this year's Academy Award®-nominated „The Dress”.
The protagonist, a donkey named Eo, encounters on his journeys good and bad people, experiences joy and pain, exploring a vision of modern Europe through his eyes.
