Monika Majorek's "Inka" joins Cannes Short Corner - Film academy Poland - Cinematography, filmmaking courses in Poland

"It's a bit of a surprise, since I made "Inka" as the final project on my first year of studies, but I'm very happy", says Monika, who is currently on her second year of the BA in Film Directing.

A Warsaw Film School production, the short film was written and directed by Majorek, shot by a School alumni Tomek Ślesicki and stars up and coming young actress Kamila Kobic, also a student of WFS. "Inka" tells the story of a young woman who becomes an outcast to her home town community after she  enters a conflict with the local priest. Inka is convinced she is right, but is being right worth the lonely fight?

Since its creation in 2004 the Short Corner is the market place for short films at the Cannes IFF. It aims to facilitate sales as well as inspiring industry contacts and career development.
