"Historia w Ożywionych Obrazach", directed by our lecturer Marek Brodzki and based on his own script, received another award – the Golden Copernicus - at the 8th Educational Film Festival Edukino. "History ..." is an extraordinary series presenting the most crucial moments in the history of Poland, "told" by the classics of Polish painting. The spectator is invited into the interior of the paintings and can eavesdrop on the conversations of their heroes, look at the historical context and get closer to the moment that inspired the painter.
While working on his film, Marek Brodzki cooperated with, among others, Steven Spielberg, Roman Polanski, Andrzej Wajda and Volker Schloendorff. He is an Emmy Award winner for his film "Dresden Drama" and the director of the popular TV series "Miasteczko", based on the Manuela’s Gretkowska script. Marek Brodzki teaches directing at the Warsaw Film School.
